Conveyancing Assistant – Regional Law Firm (Hybrid Working)

My client, a well-established regional law firm based in Tunbridge Wells, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to support their dynamic property department. This role offers the chance to join a reputable team where high-quality client service and staff development are prioritised.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting fee earners in the preparation and processing of documents for residential property transactions
• Carrying out property searches and collating relevant documentation
• Liaising professionally with clients, agents, lenders, and solicitors to facilitate a smooth transaction process
• Keeping files and records well-organised and up to date
• Handling client communications and queries in a friendly, responsive manner
• Assisting the team in meeting key deadlines and ensuring compliance with legal obligations

What we're looking for:

• Prior 2 years of experience in a legal setting or a good understanding of conveyancing procedures
• A high level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Confident in using office software, particularly Word and Excel
• A team player who can also work independently with initiative and reliability
