Overview

A highly regarded and modern Chartered Accountancy practice is looking to recruit a NEW Accounts Senior into their Heathfield office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking firm that places real focus on staff welfare and work-life balance.

The role will involve hands-on preparation of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, with exposure to audit work where applicable. Prior audit experience would be beneficial, but it is by no means essential.

This role is Monday-Friday.

Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed .

Duties

• Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and supporting schedules
• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Assisting with the review of work prepared by junior members of the team
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff as required
• Building strong internal relationships with managers and partners across the firm
• Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with agreed deadlines
• Exposure to audit assignments for the right candidate

What we're looking for

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate 3+ years UK practice experience in an accounts-focused role. You may be AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified. Exposure to audit would be advantageous but is not essential. You must live within 1 hr of the office location.
